Congrats to the first choir from DTSOI to attend Choral Performance Assessment (CPA)! The 7th/8th Grade Treble Chorus earned a 99, 98 and 97 from each of the three judges and a Superior (I) rating from the sight-reading judge. Look at that first plaque for the choir room wall!

Root Negative One won semis and finals along with their alliance partners in Alabama this weekend. As the Winning Alliance Captain, they earned an invitation to the Maryland Tech Invitational in June. They also won the Innovate Award and Mrs. Wendy Cassady won the Compass Award.

DTSOI was honored to host the First Lady of Arkansas, Mrs. Susan Hutchinson, and the team from Muzology Friday. Guests visited 6th & 7th grade math classes and debriefed with teachers who are using the innovative program. Learning math with music is fun!

Reminder about our Course Selection Support Night tonight for 2020-21 rising 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th graders. This event is for current and newly enrolled SOI students.


Congratulations to Rachel Arnold, Bailey Barnes, Kelsey Cleveland, and Laney Wilson! They entered a video contest about Living Tobacco Free for Projectpreventar.org. Out of 137 videos submitted across the state, they won the “Most Likely to go Viral” award!
