A #PhoenixFam team recently competed against over 500 middle school students from across the state in the Arkansas Statewide Middle School Hack-a-thon. Only the top 8 teams were invited to compete in the championship round at the capitol where DTSOI placed 2nd!

April 9, 2024 is Quentin Clevenger Day, #PhoenixFam! Quentin will be formally recognized for his accomplishments and the opportunity to compete in the International Geography Championships in Austria at this evening's Springdale City Council meeting by Mayor Sprouse.

Virtual Innovation Academy students & teachers celebrated Pi Day by practicing their measurement and calculation skills. Virtual learners from grades 6-10 collaborated on calculating circumference, diameter, radius and infinite numbers. They celebrated by eating lots of circular foods.

Drivers have been released. Car riders are already in the typical line placements.
DTSOI is monitoring the weather closely. In the event that there is significant weather during afternoon pickup, we have a plan in place to ensure that students are in a safe location.
DTSOI is not dismissing early. If it is lightening or hailing, we will not dismiss walkers to go home. We will hold students until the weather passes. If there is severe weather at dismissal, buses will be held until the weather has passed. We are watching the weather closely and will ensure that students are safe during pickup. All district sponsored events that require district transportation are cancelled for this evening.
